High-Voltage Battery Housing Not Properly Sealed from Breather Valve - Risk of Fire

SAFETY RECALL NOTICE
High-Voltage Battery Housing Not Properly Sealed from Breather Valve - Risk of Fire

Dear Ski-Doo® or Lynx® Owner,

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the Consumer Product Safety Act. This is to inform you that your vehicle may contain a defect that could affect the safety of a person. BRP is conducting a safety recall.

Our records show that you own a potentially affected unit.

What is the potential problem?
The breather valve may not seal properly and allow water to enter the high-voltage battery. Over time, this could lead to a battery fire, even when the vehicle is not being driven. This condition could increase the risk of injury or even death.

Which models are involved?

  1. Certain Model Year 2024 and 2025 Ski-Doo Grand Touring Electric snowmobiles
  2. Certain Model Year 2025 Ski-Doo Expedition Electric snowmobiles
  3. Certain Model Year 2024 and 2025 Lynx Adventure Electric snowmobiles

What will BRP do?
BRP will repair your vehicle at no charge to you (parts and labor). The repair
is to install a new protection plate over the breather valve and, if necessary, replace the breather valve. It will take less than an hour to complete.

What should YOU do?
Schedule an appointment immediately with any authorized BRP Ski-Doo®/Lynx® dealer to have the safety recall repair performed on your unit. To find a dealer, see the end of this letter.

Until the recall repair is performed:

Your vehicle can be driven and charged normally, with the exception of the following:

●       Do not drive it in water that touches above the running boards.

●       Do not expose the battery to direct water jet (left-hand side panel removed).

If the snowmobile was already exposed to the above conditions, it should be parked outside and away from other vehicles or structures.

If you leased this vehicle:

●       Send a copy of this letter to the lessee within ten working days after the day you received this letter.

Do the same with any future letters about this safety recall.

What to do if you feel you have received this notice by mistake?
This notice was mailed to you according to the most current information we have available.

If you know the current owner or operator, please forward this letter to them.

If there has been a change of ownership or you have a change of address, please notify BRP so we can update our records accordingly.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause; however, we are taking this action to help ensure your safety and continued satisfaction with your vehicle. We remain committed to facilitating the process as much as we can.

Thank you for your immediate attention to this notice.

Sincerely,
