Looking for some extra stoke? An adventure with Ramona Johansen might be just what you’re looking for. Hailing from Alta, a town along Norway’s northern coast, her arctic locale delivers plenty of excitement to share.

Hometown: A small place in northern Norway named Alta.

Current Sled: 2023 Summit 850 E-TEC Turbo R

Favorite type of terrain to ride: I have two favorite types of terrain to ride:

- First type is in wooded areas. I enjoy the challenge of the unexpected, you never know what you'll find in there!
- Second type is mountainous terrain. I absolutely admire big mountains. Whenever I see a big, beautiful mountain ahead of me, I feel compelled to get to the very top of it. The challenge of ascending to the top, and being rewarded with spectacular views and the feeling of freedom is something that I crave.

What does That Ski-Doo Feeling mean to you?

For me it’s like a collection of strong sensory impressions that takes over the body in a good way. This feeling arises when you, the snowmobile and nature get together on a sunny day with awesome people around who are as fired up as I am. The perfect recipe: Sun in your face, friends joking and pushing limits, food, endless mountains and spectacular views!

What’s your “regular” job?

I work with individuals with different challenges as an environmental therapist.

How long have you been riding snowmobiles?

I’ve been riding sleds since 2018.

What are your interests and hobbies outside of snowmobiling?

I have plenty of hobbies, including: making creative content outdoors using my FPV drone, 360 camera, my phone, or a GoPro. I love to recreate my experiences and my own perception of what I do through content. For me, it is a way of storing memories and making art. It’s always fun to look back together with those who have been there. Otherwise, I use my spare time for mountain biking, slalom skiing, hanging out with my friends, cooking and strength training.

What motivates you to be an Ambassador?

Ski-Doo has always been a part of my journey. I am honored, and feel proud to be able to represent a brand I can really stand behind 100%. I hope my passion for sledding can inspire and motivate other women to go out there, and get after it!

What is your favorite Ski-Doo model of all time?

My first love was the MXZ X-RS 600 E-TEC.

What’s the most fun you’ve ever had on a sled?

To pick a specific moment would be too hard because every moment has its own charm. Personally I would probably choose the entire 2020-21 season, because of the amount of snow we had provided us with awesome riding conditions. Norway has not had such amounts of snow in at least 10 years, and I took full advantage of that!

Powder conditions are fun to work with, and almost every sledding trip was challenging for me, but I did find it funny to discover what my Summit and I were capable of doing. I am still learning all the time, but all in all, I learned a lot that winter.

My most embarrassing moment on a sled is?

I have plenty of them. I am very clumsy at times, and I can’t count how many times I have broken parts from bumping into trees.

What is your must-have item or accessory for every ride?

Avalanche Kit!

What’s your favorite meal on a sled?

Hamburgers.

What do you love about BRP?

I love the versatility and possibilities of BRP. Their snowmobiles are well built, the chassis, overall design, and the general feeling is first class. I feel BRP offers a lot of good options in terms of vehicles, accessories and clothes that are adapted for most people and their needs. I can always rely that their machines will work well, and they are quite capable of taking a beating in the field, especially the new machines I have tested.
